A farmer from Vayanadu District in Kerala has penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide him his ‘due share’ of the black money seized post the demonetization drive announced by the Centre late last year. He has further stated that he was seeking his share based on pre-2014 poll promises by the Prime Minister.

K. Sadhu, hailing from Vayanadu in Kerala, has been a farmer for several decades now. He is growing crops in his own land but hasn’t been having the best of times in recent years. Poverty has apparently driven him to write to the Prime Minister seeking his share of ‘black money’.

“During the pre-poll promises made by the Prime Minister (who was the then chief-minister of Gujarat) prior to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Modi had said that he would root out black money and provide Rs.15 lakhs out of it. I’m seeking my share based only on this promised,” Sadhu had stated in his letter wherein he has demanded a payment of Rs.5 lakhs.

A similar letter has also been penned by him addressing the national leadership of the ruling BJP at the Centre. Sadhu’s letter has added to the anti-Modi wave which has already been sweeping Kerala.
