Kerala doctor dies of COVID-19

On Wednesday, a 55-year-old Keralite named Poornima Nair died of COVID-19 in the UK. With this, the number of Keralites who lost their lives in the UK rises to 13.
Poornima has been working as a general practitioner (GP) at Station View Medical Centre near Durham in Scotland. For over a week she had been undergoing treatment for COVID-19 and had been on ventilator support. Her funeral is expected to happen in Britain.
Poornima is survived by her husband Shlok Balupuri and son Varun.
