Producer Bunny Vas has today announced that the share earned by 'Geetha Govindam' in Kerala theatres will be donated towards flood relief measures in the state. This is a magnanimous gesture from the banner. Already, Allu Arjun has donated Rs. 25 lakhs out of love for Kerala from his personal account. His home banner making the latest announcement is praiseworthy.
Meanwhile, the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer has mopped up Rs. 1.28 Cr (Gross) in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday (Day 1). In Chennai, its gross of Rs. 17 lakhs is the fourth highest for a Telugu movie on Day 1, the first three being 'Bharat Ane Nenu' (Rs. 27 lakhs), 'Rangasthalam' (Rs. 25 lakhs), and 'Agnyaathavaasi' (Rs. 24 lakhs).
The worldwide share of the movie on Day 1 is Rs. 9.66 Cr, with gross alone coming to Rs. 16 Cr. The share in the Telugu States is Rs. 5.80 Cr.
