On Thursday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his wife Kamala celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Sharing a lovely picture with his wife, Pinarayi Vijayan took to his social media handle and wrote,'42 years together'. The post received numerous wishes from the public and celebs.

Meanwhile, the wedding invitation of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had gone viral on social media. The invitation was printed by late Chadayan Govindan, then CPM Kannur district secretary on August 1, 1979.

Pinarayi Vijayan tied the knot with Kamala on September 2, 1979, in the presence of CPM stalwarts like E M S Namboodiripad and E K Nayanar. He was the Koothuparamba MLA and a member of the Kannur district secretariat. The couple has two children, Veena and Vivek. It was recently, Veena married CPI(M) youth wing leader PA Muhammad Riyas, who is the Minister for Public Works Department and Tourism in the Pinarayi Cabinet.
