Kerala bride dressed in PPE kit gets married to covid-infected fiance!

In the presence of a few COVID-19 patients and the hospital staff, a couple got married in the COVID-19 ward at Alappuzha Medical College Hospital on Sunday. Instead of a wedding saree, the bride was spotted in personal protective equipment (PPE) kit. Meanwhile, the groom wore a simple navy blue shirt and white mundu. The couple tied the knot and exchanged garlands. The family also organized a wedding feast for all COVID-19 patients and staff in the ward, where the wedding took place. The picture of the couple had gone viral on social media.
The couple has been identified as Sarath Mon S and Abhirami, whose wedding was fixed for April 25, Sunday. It was a month ago, Sarath had returned from Qatar. Though he had tested negative for coronavirus on arrival to Kerala. Weeks later, while the couple's families were prepping up for the wedding, Sarath and his mom faced breathing difficulties and tested positive for the deadly virus.
As the couple's wedding was initially planned to be held last year and later got postponed due to the pandemic, both the families decided to not postpone the ceremony again.
