Aspiring adult movie actresses are said to be the victims in shocking Kerala human sacrifice case

A couple and a fake magician have allegedly indulged in human sacrifice to gain wealth and it has now come to light that their victims were lured with the promise of acting chance in adult movies and were then gruesomely murdered. The Elanthoor human sacrifice case has shocked the neighboring Kerala state and further investigations have unearthed nauseating details.
One Palani Amma had lodged a complaint at the Kadavanthra police station that her younger sister Padma who made a living by selling lottery tickets was missing since September 26th. The police launched a search and CCTV footage showed Padma being taken in a vehicle by Muhammed Shafi, one of the prime accused in the case.'
Shafi had confessed in the police enquiry that he had lured Padma by offering her a chance to act in an adult movie and took her to a house in Elanthur in Pathanamthitta district. He had then influenced Bhagaval Singh and his wife Laila to murder her and then cut her body into 56 pieces and bury them in various places. Shafi who was also known as a Rasheed had posed as a black magician to the couple and had told them that they can get immense wealth if they commit human sacrifice. They had paid him a fee of rupees one and a half lakhs for his consultation as well.
The trio who are in custody now had also confessed to committing another human sacrifice by killing a woman named Roselin in June this year. The police have unearthed the shredded body parts of both the women. An appalling report suggests that the accused also indulged in cannibalism by consuming some of the body parts of their victims. Shafi is said to have sexually assaulted the victims before the couple murdered them. The trio have been labelled as psychopaths and further investigations are underway to ascertain if more such murders and other crimes were committed by them.
