Shocking! Actor Suresh Gopi to give up his minister post after just one day of swearing-in?

In the aftermath of the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led NDA alliance has once again established the Central Government, with Narendra Modi being sworn in as Prime Minister for a third term. The ceremony, held yesterday in Delhi, saw the induction of 72 ministers into the new government.

Renowned Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, who secured victory in the Thrissur constituency by an impressive margin of over 74,000 votes, made history as Kerala's first BJP MP. Keeping in line with Prime Minister Modi's pre-election pledge, Suresh Gopi took oath as Minister of State on Sunday, marking his induction into the Union Cabinet.

Suresh Gopi, upon his return to Kerala as a minister, has expressed his intention to give up his position as Union Minister. In an interview with a regional channel, he stated that he had never sought a ministry and wished to be relieved from it soon due to prior film commitments. He reiterated his dedication to serving as the MP of Thrissur constituency.

The actor turned Minister reportedly said, "I want to work as an MP. My stand was that I didn’t want the Cabinet berth. I had told the party that I was not interested in it. I think I will be relieved soon. The people of Thrissur know very well. I will perform very well as an MP. I want to act in films. Let the party decide.”
