Heavy polling is being recorded in the state of Kerala since Tuesday morning. Reportedly, the state recorded a voter turnout of 38% at 12 pm as the centres in north Kerala and Thiruvananthapuram district witnessed brisk polling for the 15th Legislative Assembly elections.

Long queues were seen in several polling stations much before the polling began. Along with the public, celebs too have cast their vote. Megastar Mammootty arrived with his wife Sulfath to cast their vote in the Assembly elections. The couple cast their vote at Ponnurni CKS School. Pictures and videos of the actor arriving at the polling booth have gone viral on the internet.

While the actor was thronged by people at the polling booth as he cast his vote, BJP protested against the filming of Mammootty and his wife casting their vote at the centre. Here are the visuals.
