The debutant Santosh son of producer Anekal Balraj has to improve in his physique and looks to suit the roles which he is going to take up in the coming films. He has the ease in acting and dialogue delivery is OK.
'Kempa' is an action extravaganza with revenge saga, gang war and some lovely tunes set in the good backdrop. Debutant director Jagadish has left strong promises that he is here to stay in Kannada cinema. The screenplay and shots he has executed in the first venture are impressive. The innocence, struggle, inevitability, repenting, correcting in life all tucked in the protagonist role with due prominence to police the director has carved a good screenplay first.

The lanky youngster Santosh has worked hard in his first film. He has to urgently contact the hair stylist. Eat well to get kilograms of flesh in to his bony physique. Tanushika is absorbing in her debut. Avinash plays the easy role effectively.
Gurukiran has lent two good tunes. Cinematography by Shanker and editing deserved to be better.
Scoring 6/10
