Talented actor Geethu Mohandas, from her very first days in filmdom had been talking about her dream of becoming a film director. The actress, who is not seen much on silver screen in the recent days, seems to have now accomplished her goal. Her first short film titled ‘Kelkkunundo? had a premier show at the capital city, a couple of days ago.

The 22 minute short which tells the plight of a small blind girl is cinematographed by Rajeev Ravi. Shot with five year old Hasna, a first standard student of Aluva blind school, the movie got great reviews from the celebrity directors like Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Rajeev Nath, Shyamaprasad, Lenin Rajendran, who attended the premiere show. While national award winner B Ajithkumar is in the charge of editing, Sharath did the music for the movie produced, and scripted by Geethu.

''Actually I was planning to shoot one in Hindi with Konkona Sen Sharma, as the heroine for my debut flick as a director. Though I have completed the scripts for the movie, I didn't get the right producer. That was why, I switched over to this relatively smaller project. Anyway I will be starting this Hindi project, in a short while'' Geethu explains her plans for the future.
