Keerthy Suresh at a very young age bagged the National Award for Best Actress portraying legendary actress Savithri Ganesan in 'Mahanati' directed by Nag Ashwin that released in 2018. She was reportedly approached to play another legendary actress and director Vijaya Nirmala who holds the Guinness Record for the most number of films by a female director numbering 42.
Vijaya Nirmala passed away in 2019 and her son Vijaya Naresh has stated in Tollywood media that he has not given permission to anyone to film his mother's biopic. He has further stated that his mom asked him to write her story and he is halfway through but had to put it aside due to her death and other commitments and it could take another year for him to complete the work.
Naresh has asserted that any thought of filming would only arise once he finished the complete script and only then he would announce whether he himself will be directing it and who will play his legendary mother's role. It is worth adding that Vijaya Nirmala is actor Krishna's second wife and was the stepmother of superstar Mahesh Babu.
Keerthy Suresh's fans were of the opinion that she would be bagging her second national award for the Vijaya Nirmala biopic but looks like it could be delayed for the time being. Meanwhile the bubbly actress has a number of films lined up including 'Penguin' produced by Karthik Subbaraj, 'Miss India' and 'Kunjali Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham'.
