Keerthy Suresh stuns all by bagging National Award

The much-acclaimed performance by Keerthy Suresh in the landmark film ‘Mahanati’ has got national recognition.  The star actress today bagged the National Award for Best Actor (Female) for portraying the legendary Savitri impeccably in the biopic.

It’s an honour both for her and the Telugu film industry, which doesn’t usually find a place at the high table.  This year, the prestigious award to Keerthy for the Telugu film is a matter of pride.  Due credits to the remarkably talented Nag Ashwin, who visualized the then fledgling actress in the challenging role.  His very vision is stunning enough even today.  

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film was a blockbuster at the box-office when it released on May 9 last year.
