Touted to be the greatest story of the greatest actress that have ever lived, the general anticipation around 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' is sky high. Keerthy Suresh is essaying the titular character of legendary actress Savitri in the film and fans couldn't wait more.

As a respite to their uncontrollable anticipation, the makers released a short teaser on Tamil New Year which, well, has us jaw dropping and eye widening. 'Retro' oozes throughout the teaser with actors filling the frames with nostalgia and not to mention the intermittent black & white visuals. Another hint the teaser gives us is that, apart from her popular career as an actress, the film will also have deeper exploration in to her life as a mother as well (think of the frame where she is holding the baby). 

Keerthy definitely takes centre stage with Dulquer, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha making it a much fuller cast ensemble.There is also an old man joining his hands together in adulation and respect which only signals a story that is embroidered with the actress as a person, more than just as an actoress.

Anyways, the teaser already has us fingers crossed for the feature which will hit the screens on May 9. 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' is directed by Nag Ashwin.
