'Mahanati' sensation Keerthy Suresh has signed up to do a Telugu film under the production of Mahesh Koneru's East Coast Productions. Debutant Narendra will wield the megaphone for this project.

The untitled project was launched on Thursday at Hyderabad's Annapurna Seven Acres. If Nandamuri Kalyanram gave the first clap, 'Mr. Majnu' director Venky Atluri, producer BVSN Prasad switched on the camera.

"I am very happy to do this female-centric movie. Every girl can connect with the story. Majority of the production works will be done in the US. Narendra has come up with a very nice subject," Keerthy Suresh said.

The film will be shot in the US from the month of April. "This is being made as a clean family entertainer. We will take the film on the floors next month," the director said.

Producer Mahesh Koneru said that the screenplay throws up a situation which every girl faces in her life some or the other time.

The film will have music by Kalyani Koduri.
