The second daughter of Sahasa Simha Dr Vishnuvardhana – Smt Keerthivardhana gets the prestigious Chitra Rasikara award for her contribution in the field of costume designing.

Keerthivardhana has done costume designing for over 75 films in Kannada and earned good name for her lovely selection of costumes for Dr Vishnuvardhana from the huge fans of the icon.

The Karnataka Chitra Rasikara Sangha award was bestowed on Smt Keerthivardhana at a well attended function. Smt Keerthivardhana started her journey as costume designer from ‘Mojugara Sogasugaara’ film of Dr Vishnuvardhana. In films like Soorappa, Yajamana, Kotigobba, Aptha Mithra, Aptha Rakshaka and others Keerthivardhana created new style.

Former minister Zamir Ahmed, Anirudh husband of Keerthivardhana and other members of Karnataka Chitra Rasikara Sangha were present at the award presentation on dais.
