Keerthi Chakra - Based on reality

Mohanlal's Keerthi Chakra being directed by debutant Major Ravi will release on 14 July. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy plays opposite Mohanlal and Tamil actor Jeeva plays an equally important role in the film. The film also has Biju Menon, Cochin Haneefa, Gopika.

A bi-lingual (being made in Tamil also) features Mohanlal and Jeeva in the role of commandos. Says Ravi, 'Keerthi Chakra is inspired by a real life incident, that occurred in my life, when I was serving the Indian Army'.

A major portion of the movie was shot in sensitive Indo-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir. The movie has music by Joshua Sridhar and cinematography by Thiru.
