MM Keeravani and his son Kaala Bhairava, who is also a music director, have on Tuesday donated plasma towards helping the cause of battling COVID-19. Taking to social media, the 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' music director said that he and his son made the donation at KIMS in Hyderabad.
"Just done with a voluntary donation of plasma at KIMS along with my son Bhairava. Feeling good. It felt very normal like in a routine blood donation session. No need to fear at all for participating," Keeravani tweeted.
Sharing the news, SS Rajamouli, who is also a COVID survivor along with his wife and son, delcared that he would be donating plasma after developing adequate antibodies. "Tested for antibodies.. My IgG levels are 8.62. They should be above 15 to be able to donate... Peddanna and Bhairava donated today."
The 'RRR' director added that the immunity accorded by antibodies is not long-lasting. "The antibodies that develop stay in our system for a limited period of time only.. I request everyone who are cured of Covid-19 to come forward and donate. And become a lifesaver," he added.
