Vennela has released and its performance at the box office is still unknown.

But the film, with theme of urban romance, has gone down well with the critics and is expected to do well in the A Centers.

Anyway, whatever be the outcome of the film, it has again confirmed that Raja is the face for urban entertainers.

Let us make no mistake, Raja can never make it as a mass hero who can make the audiences in say, Rayalaseema, dance in the aisles like some other heroes. But Raja has already proved, in the short period that he has been around, that he is a force to reckon with urban locations and among Cineplex crowds.

It all started with the refreshing Anand, and now to Vennela, Raja has shown that he has both the face and a talent to match and attract those looking for a Dil Chahta Hai kind of films in Telugu.

Vennela is a good case in point. It may not have been the most perfect film. But it works, and not in the least because of Raja’s easy affability in front of the camera.

Raja now has Clean Bowled, Shekar Kammula’s Godavari and Style all getting ready.

The young hero is also ready for experimentation.

Well, good to see young talents being recognized.
