KCR wants south Indian PM: Reports
- IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,May 07 2019]
It's known that Telangana CM KCR on Monday evening held a discussion with Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan regarding government formation at the Centre after May 23. The Trivandrum meeting was friendly between the two CMs.
As per a national media report, the TRS supremo is in favour of a south Indian Prime Minister who would lead a non-BJP, non-Congress government at the Centre. This is being called the 1996 formula. KCR has not proposed any name to Vijayan. The CPI(M) leader is said to be happy with KCR's proposal.
KCR is going to meet two of Congress' allies in the next days: HD Kumaraswamy of JDS and MK Stalin of DMK. These leaders are in the UPA. If the UPA partners sit with KCR to discuss the formation of a non-Congress coalition, it will send out wrong signals.
Days ahead will be interesting. Everything depends on what happens on May 23 in terms of numbers.
