Chief-minister K. Chandrasekhra Rao has urged the concerned authorities to ensure that water supply is maintained in a proper, smooth and unhindered manner across the State.

At Pragathi Bhawan yesterday and addressing a review meeting on ‘Mission Bhagiratha’, the mercurial Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) chief was in his elements as he urged in no uncertain terms that water supply to villages and suburbs besides cities and towns ought to be maintained properly, smoothly and in an unhindered manner at all times.

“The buck of the State Govt./authorities doesn’t merely stop at supplying water; it continues in order to ensure that water is supplied actually at every doorstep,” Rao said. “At present, people make use of water from whatever source is available to them; however, if they get used to/start taking water from ‘Mission Bhagiratha’, they won’t turn to any other source of water for their drinking water purposes,” he asserted.

“Nobody can survive sans water even for a single day; thus, it is imperative to ensure continuous, unhindered supply of water by completing the ‘Mission Bhagiratha’ project as soon as possible,” he concluded.
