On Monday, Telangana saw 61 new cases of COVID-19. With most of them coming from Hyderabad, Chief Minister KCR has reportedly instructed officials to make the capital city a high-focus area.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has got 216 active cases. For perspective, this is as much as the other districts in Telangana have got.
A report says that as many as 13 new positive cases were from just one locality in the Charminar area of the Old City.
The administration has been ordered by the CM to ensure that the movement of people in the city's 126 containment zones is strictly restricted. The focus is palpably greater on some areas than others in the city.
