KCR makes Col Santosh Babu's wife Deputy Collector

Santoshi, the widowed wife of Colonel Santosh Babu has been appointed as a Deputy Collector. Babu was martyred during the India-China border skirmishes of June 15.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao handed over the appointment letter to Santoshi in the presence of concerned officials.
The Telangana CM later had lunch with the family members of Colonel Santosh Babu who were there to accompany Santoshi.
Last month, KCR gave a cheque for Rs 4 Cr to Santoshi. He gave Rs 1 Cr to Upendar and Ravi, the parents of the soldier. The government also gave a document for 711 sq yards of land at Hyderabad's Banjara Hills to the martyr's family.
