KCR is using Prakash Raj's connections, or is it something else?

On Sunday, KCR called on his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai. The TRS supremo wants to stitch up an anti-BJP alliance across the country.
The presence of Prakash Raj at the meet shocked many. The popular artist is no political heavyweight. He has no clout among voters even in his home state. He carries respect for doing social service and that's all. But beyond that, he is not a popular leader or something.
As per Times Of India's latest report, the Telangana CM wants to use Prakash Raj's connections in trying to reach out to politicians from states like Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. It's not clear to who all the actor is close with.
In the past, Prakash Raj met with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. He is interested in strengthening anti-BJP politics but not by being actively present in politics by supporting Communists, activists, and now even Shiv Sainiks, it appears.
There is also a suspicion that Prakash Raj has of late started advising KCR on the issues that need to be highlighted against the BJP. And these issues are not material ones but ideological ones. Is KCR listening to Raj for these suggestions and not because he has connections?
