Revanth Reddy of the Congress party has tried to portray Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as an incomplete Telanginite by saying that the CM's ancestors hail from Bihar. The Congress MP quoted KCR as allegedly saying that his ancestors hail from Bihar in an interview in 2008.
Revanth Reddy found fault with KCR and his party, TRS, taking the services of Prashant Kishor for the 2023 Assembly elections. Recently, PK, who hails from Bihar, was roped in by the TRS. PK is a renowned election strategist who has advised major political leaders in the past. "No pollster or strategist can save the TRS now," he added.
The Congress leader also said that several Bihari IAS officers have been given important positions by the KCR government. He alleged that KCR used to rely on the reach of his welfare schemes in the past but has not stopped doing so.
Revanth's remarks have come in for criticism from many quarters, given that the comments smack of a chauvinistic outlook.
