KCR hands over Rs 5 Cr to Col Santosh Babu's family

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday went to Suryapet to meet the family of the martyred braveheart of the Indian army, Col Santosh Babu. The Telangana CM gave a cheque for Rs 4 Cr to Santoshi, the wife of Babu. He gave Rs 1 Cr to Upendar and Ravi, the parents of the soldier.
KCR also gave a document for 711 sq yards of land at Hyderabad's Banjara Hills, reports say. As announced last week, Santoshi has been allotted a Group-1 job.
The state government is also giving Rs 10 lakh each to the families of 19 other soldiers who attained Veerghati in the clash. They are from other States.
