The other day, acclaimed Kinnera exponent Darshanam Mogilaiah was given Padma Shri by the Government of India. He was nominated for the award by the Government of Telangana, as he hails from Mahboobnagar.

The news is that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced rewards for Mogilaiah, who has attained mild popularity of late. The CM felicitated him at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday. The exponent has been given a house site in Hyderabad. Besides, a cash reward of Rs 1 Cr has been announced.
