Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy headed by renowned director SV Rajendra Singh Babu comes up with a useful seminar on the necessity of protecting the yesteryear films.

The preservation of early era has not taken place in right way. From 1931 to 1941 out of 250 silent films only 15 are protected. We do not have films like ‘Alam Ara’ or first Kannada cinema ‘Sathi Sulochana’. What best could be done using the technology availability is the emphasis of this seminar of KCA.

Shivendra Singh Dungarpur is taking part in the seminar and he founded the Mumbai Film Heritage Foundation in 2014.

Dr B Saroja Devi will be inaugurating the seminar, Padmasri Girish Kasaravalli, KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvrdhana, Harini, Dr Jayamala and others are taking part in the seminar.
