After two fair outings, Krishna of 'Alibaba' and 'Katradhu Kalavu' fame is set to fly high this time, with a film that is aptly titled 'Kazhugu'.

Directed by newcomer Sathyasiva the movie is produced by KK Shekar along with KS Madhubala, and boasts off music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Bindhu Madhavi who hogged attention with 'Veppam' plays the lead lady sans make up.

The story revolves around Krishna, referred to as 'Kazhugu', who recover bodies of suicide victims who jump off a cliff. The film, based on real-life incidents, has been shot in real locations, including Kodaikanal, Theni and Munnar.

Says Krishna, "I had a very different experience shooting for Kazhugu. It is not an easy thing to recover dead bodies. Because they would be scattered into pieces as those committing suicide would jump from a great height. Those doing this need great appreciation. The film is about a man who protects his love like an eagle. No one can escape from his eyes."

"When the script was narrated to me, I realized that it is the character of a lifetime. I rushed to Kodaikanal to learn the trade from those who are involved in it," says the young actor.

'Kazhugu' is said to be an edge of the seat thriller, and at the same time an entertainer that has a good dosage of comedy and other commercial elements as well. It is expected to be a realistic entertainer with a difference, on the lines of 'Mynaa'.

Bindhu Madhavi is upbeat about her role in the film. "The director wanted me to stand in front of the camera without any makeup, since the character demanded so. I have a very meaty role to play in Kazhugu and am sure that my character will be liked by one and all," she says.

Producer Shekar says, "As a producer, I want each of my movies to be different. When the director narrated the script to me, it seemed new. Since it revolved around the dead, I insisted that there should be a liberal dose of comedy in it. And the director has done a good job of the screenplay."

The director says, " Yuvan Shankar Raja's music would be the backbone of the movie. Krishna has given his best and this film would sure take him to heights."

`Kazhugu' that promises a novel script is all set to take off shortly.
