Kavya started her career as a child actor with 'Pookkalam Varavayi' and went on to carve a niche as a top star in the industry. .The actress played the female lead opposite almost all superstars. She was last seen in the 2016 movie 'Pinneyum', that had Dileep in the lead role. Post her wedding with Dileep, the actress stayed away from the limelight.
In 2016, Kavya Madhavan married Dileep, and the couple welcomed their first child together in October 2018. Dileep was earlier married to Manju Warrier for 17 years, and the two ended their marriage in 2015. The two have a daughter named Meenakshi.
