Heroine-centric films are rare to come across these days.

‘Thankfully my Sheelabathy has good scope for me to perform,’ says Kavya Madhavan.

In Sheelabathy, she plays a young girl born and brought up in Calcutta who lands up for a job in a remote village in Kerala.

Sarath, who wielded the megaphone for movies like Sayanam and Sthithi, directs Sheelabathy.

Acting opposite Kavya Madhavan would be For The People fame Sunil.

According to Sarath, ' Kavya has given a excellent performance and has proved her acting prowess yet again'.

A major portion of the movie was shot in Kuttanad and Palghat. Music is by Ramesh Narayanan and Sheelabathi would grace theatres soon.
