Kavin to replace Dhanush in new movie?

Kavin, who started his career as a teenage actor in the serial ‘Kana Kaanum Kalangal’ found fame after participating in ‘Bigg Boss Tamil 3’ hosted by Kamal Haasan.  His film career took off with the hit OTT film ‘Lift’ and his most recent release ‘Dada’ was critically acclaimed as well as a box office success.

Kavin signed on to play the lead in a new movie directed by dance choreographer-actor Sathish with Anirudh scoring the music.  However it is reported that the 32 year old actor will be acting in another movie before that.

According to reliable sources director Elan of ‘Pyaar Prema Kadhal’ fame will be helming Kavin’s next and the official announcement is expected soon.  Elan after the super hit film reunited with the hero Harish Kalyan for a project titled ‘Star’ but it never took off.  He later was signed by Sathya Jyothi Films to helm a film with Dhanush in the lead which also was delayed due to the busy hero’s commitments for ‘Captain Miller’, ‘D50’, H. Vinoth project and ‘Wunderbar 15’.

As of now it is not clear if Elan has narrated the script of ‘Star’ or the one that for meant for Dhanush.  If it is the latter then it would be interesting to see how Kavin fills the shoes of the mighty D.
