Sequel for Suriya-Jyothika’s 18-year-old blockbuster? Kavin to lead the star cast?

In 2006, Suriya and Jyothika captivated audiences with ‘Sillunu Oru Kaadhal’, one of Tamil cinema’s finest romantic dramas. Directed by debutant Obeli N. Krishna, the film also starred Bhumika, Shriya Sharma, Sukanya, Vadivelu, Santhanam, and more. The blockbuster featured a musical score by the legendary AR Rahman.

Recent reports suggest that a sequel to “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal” is being planned. Director Obeli N. Krishna aims to create “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal 2” and has approached actor Kavin for the lead role. It’s noteworthy that Obeli N. Krishna has recently signed a film with Prince Pictures, who is rumoured to be producing this highly anticipated project.

Kavin’s recent film ‘Star’ turned out to be a massive hit. He has an exciting lineup of upcoming projects, including ‘Kiss’ directed by Sathish Krishnan, ‘Bloody Beggar’ produced by Nelson, ‘Mask’ produced by Vetrimaaran, and a movie where he stars opposite Lady Superstar Nayanthara, directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan.
