Kavalai Vendam
Producer Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment banner teamed up with Jiiva and director Deekay for his new venture ‘Kavalai Vendam’. Kuamar’s earlier association with Jiiva resulted in the blockbuster ‘Ko’ and with Deekay as the super hit horror comedy ‘Yaamirukka Bayame’.
‘Kavalai Vendam’ is Deekay’s second film and is touted to be a emotional love story. Keerthy Suresh and Nikki Galrani were first roped in for the heroine roles but both of them walked out of the project citing date issues. Now the ‘Thuppakki’ actress Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in as the lead heroin and she will be romancing Jiiva for the first time in this film. Bobby Simha who is acting in Kumar’s ‘Ko 2’ has been cast in this film also as the parallel male lead. Sunaina and Shruthi Hariharan act as other heroines. The supporting cast includes Mandra, RJ Balaji. Bala Saravanan, Mayilsamy, 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran, among others.
The technical crew includes Leon James as Music director Abinanthan as cinematographer Senthil Ragavan as Art director and Ruben Antony as Editor.
‘Kavalai Vendam’ shooting has been completed. The music album released in October and the songs are getting positive reviews from critics and music buffs.
The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on October 7 but had to be postponed due to undisclosed reasons. Now the film will be hitting the screens on November 24, 2016.
