Title - Katte, Producer - Umesh Reddy, Director - N omprakash Rao, music - SA Rajakumar, Camera - Ravikumar, Cast - Chandan, Nagashekhar, Shravya, Ruksar, Omprakash Rao,  Geetha, Srinivasamurthy, Avinash, Satyajith, Lakshman and others.

Senior director N Omprakash Rao handling a Tamil film ‘KD Billa Kiladi Ranga’ in ‘Katte’ has offered another mediocre cinema. It is appealing at places. Kannada audience have recently watched ‘Rudra Thandava’ that is on Father and Son bondage, in ‘Katte’ it is spread to two families of Srinivasamurthy and Avinash. The irresponsible youths changing track to good life is the lesson taught by humble parents. The affectionate moments comes at last 20 minutes that holds attention. Four youths in the village have nothing to support their life.

They find wrong measures to meet the pegs in the evening. Two of the four - Chandan and Nagashekhar do not respect the parents in the home. The time they realize the importance of life first and love later most of the unwanted scenes are over in the film. What do you do for living after marriage? This is the pertinent questions asked by elders. Chandan father in family meeting of his son lover raises the practical issue that even opens the mind of Chandan girl friend. On the other side Nagashekhar father a railway guard just before the retirement falls under the train so that his son could get a job. Chandan on the other hand does business of old bottles sale for his living. Chandan from TV to cinema has a great future ahead. He has ability to make a good stand provided he picks very interesting roles in cinema. Nagashekhar is OK, Ruksar and Shravya are good in performance and looks.

Veterans Srinivasamurthy as father of Chandan and Avinash as father of Nagashekhar gets applaud for their good performance and dialogue delivery. Srinivasamurthy is one step ahead of Avinash in this film. SA Rajakumar two tunes Sanihake Baa...and Venkateshwara Kappadru Jana Oplillava... - both duets are impressive. Cinematography of Ravikumar is absorbing.

Score - 6/10
