Hey fans and everyone out there, the ninth season of the Indian Premier League is knocking on the door, yes..April 8 is a big day for many. This day will not just get over with fun filled game cricket but will also have an extravagant opening with a galaxy of stars performing together. International musicians and stars like Chris Brown and Major Lazer will be performing at the opening ceremony in Mumbai with Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez.

This news came to light when, the official statement was released by Chris Brown's team, they posted saying: "We are very excited to perform in India for the very first time. Looking forward to a crazy night of mayhem and meeting all my beautiful people in India." Another announcement from band Major Lazer came up saying, "All of us are excited to be back in India, bringing carnival to the fans".

While Bollywood beauty, Katrina Kaif, opened up saying, "Cricket and Bollywood have always been closely associated and what better way for me to show my support! I will be performing live on the 8th of April and I'm totally looking forward to the experience. It is going to be fantastic!". Ranveer Singh added saying, "My act will honour the spirit of cricket and victory. I want to dedicate this performance to all the cricket fans across the world".

The very next day on April 9, the first match of this season of the IPL will be held at the Wankhede Stadium. It will be between cricket teams Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants.
