Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif had last appeared in the twin disasters Shahrukh Khan starrer Zero and Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan, and is all set to be seen next with Salman Khan in his next movie Bharat. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of Sultan fame, the movie is set to release on June 5.

Now the latest speculation is that, Katrina Kaif might be roped in to play world popular Indian Athlete PT Usha in her biopic. PT Usha has been a legend who has won 101 International medals, and is now working in Railways besides also training young athletes in her academy in Kerala.

This biopic will be directed by Malayalam director Revathy S Varma, who had directed Tamil movie June R with Jyothika, and a Bollywood movie Aap Ke Liye Hum. Earlier the role was offered to Priyanka Chopra and as she could not take it up, the role has been reportedly transferred to Katrina, and an official announcement is yet to arrive, on whether Katrina will play the Padma Shri and Arjuna award winning athlete.
