Anirudh's knack with 'Selfie Pulla' has gotten all the Tamil youth to tune themselves into eagerly anticipating 'Kaththi', and excitement in the state levelled up with the audio and teaser launch last week. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, starring Vijay and Samantha in the lead will be released for Diwali festivity this year, as has been confirmed by the production house. The theatrical rights for 'Kaththi' in key areas in Tamil Nadu have already been bagged for a good price. The Trichy-Tanjore rights is reported to have been sold to Sivakumar.

It is well known that far and beyond the borders of Chennai, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is a dream hero in the neighbouring state of Kerala too. So just as much as we look forward to 'Kaththi', our Malayali cousins are also awaiting the release of the film in their state. We hear that talks have begun to sell the rights for theatrical release in Kerala, and we will get to hear a positive outcome soon.
