Promising young hero Kathir, who had debuted with Madha Yaanai Koottam, has been making his presence slowly and steadily in K-Town, with his movies like Kirumi and Vikram Vedha receiving critical and commercial acclaim, with the actor getting recognized as a talent in the making.

With his last release, the sensational movie Pariyerum Perumal directed by debutant Mari Selvaraj and bankrolled by Pa.Ranjith becoming a blockbuster, and establishing Kathir as a household name with its hard-hitting theme and his intense portrayal of Pariyan, expectations were naturally high on his next movie after the success.Next, Kathir is all set to join the Pongal race along with Petta and Viswasam, albeit on the small screen. 

Kathir's long-delayed flick Sigai, directed by Jagadeesan Subu, which had created waves with its promos presenting Kathir in a feminine avatar, is all set to premiere online. Sigai will be available online from Pongal on Zee 5 app, which has acquired the digital rights of the movie, which was a part of many international film festivals. Zee 5 also holds the digital rights of Balaji Tharaneetharan's Oru Pakka Kathai starring Megha Akash and Kalidas Jayaram.
