As reported earlier today, Kathi Mahesh met with a road accident near Nellore. While the early reports said that the actor-film journalist sustained only mild injuries, the latest reports say that he has actually sustained major injuries to his head and jaw.

As reported by TV9, doctors at Nellore's Medicover Hospital have said that Kathi Mahesh needs surgery. A plastic surgery is also required.

After assessing his brain, the doctors confirmed that no major injury has been sustained in the region. The doctors are optimistic that he will recover.

Kathi Mahesh was in the driver's seat when the accident took place. His Innova car rushed into a container truck that was going in the same direction as his vehicle. Although airbags opened promptly, Kathi Mahesh couldn't come out unscathed because of the sheer force with which his car collided into the truck.

As per a report, his driver was by his side during the accident. It was on his information that the media came to know about the accident. Mahesh has been kept in a special isolation ward. A health bulletin will be released later on Saturday evening. His friends and family members have reached the hospital.
