Hero Vishal has made a name for himself in Telugu film industry with hits like Pandem Kodi, Pogaru, Bharani, Indrudu, Pooja and Jayasurya. The lanky lad of Kollywood is once again coming to test waters this Pongal with a new movie titled Kathakali. Regina Cassandra and Catherine Tresa are playing the love interests of Vishal in this action entertainer which is poised for January 14 release.

Made under Vishal Film Factory banner, the film has music by Hiphop Tamizha. Pandiaraj wields the megaphone for this film also featuring Nasser, Soori, Shatru, Gopi and Madhusudhan Rao in important roles.

Besides Kathakali, Balakrishna starrer Dictator, Nagarjuna's Soggade Chinni Nayana and Sharwanand's rom-com Express Raja are fighting it out for box office supremacy this Pongal.
