Today is the birthday of Vishnu Vishal who is one of the leading young heroes of Kollywood.

Vishnu Vishal made his debut with director Suseenthiran's debut film 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu'. It has been almost a decade since he made his entry into film industry and he has carved a niche for himself as a hero who has done a diverse range of films.

In director Seenu Ramasamy's 'Neerparavai' he played the role of a fisherman who gets killed by the Sri Lankan Army. The blockbuster success of hilarious comedy film 'Mundasupatti' made him popular across all centers. He also starred in his mentor's 'Jeeva' which spoke against the domination of a particular caste in Indian cricket selection. He also acted in the experimental Time travel flick 'Indru Netru Nalai' which turned out to be a super hit.

Last year, Vishnu Vishal turned producer with the comic caper 'Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaran' which became a super hit. In the same year he acted in the critically acclaimed 'Maveeran Kittu', a period film that spoke against the caste discrimination prevalent in Tamil Nadu.

Vishnu Vishal has acted in and produced 'Katha Nayagan' which is getting ready to hit the screens very soon. He is also shooting for 'Mundasupatti' director Ramkumar's next film 'Ratchasan' whose first look poster has been released today. He is producing and acting in another film 'Silukkuvarpatti Singam' directed by Chella who wrote the dialogues for 'VVV'. Apart from this he is acting with Tamannah in Gautham Menon's production venture 'Pon Ondru Kanden' which is the remake of Telugu super hit 'Pellichoopulu'.
