Kate Middleton and Prince William are taking advantage of the tail end of summer with their three kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The couple, both 41, have been largely out of sight during a much-needed private break over the summer. Their kids will return to Lambrook School on September 6, where they all attended together for the first time last year.

Generally, aligning their own royal work with their children's school schedule has always been important to Prince William and Princess Kate, but this time around there is no official diary overlap.

Prince William already has one major commitment in September: a trip to New York City for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit. Meanwhile, Kate is well known for her active involvement in Wimbledon as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

They may have used their Norfolk country home, Anmer Hall, in the summer and entertained from there. There are daily activities such as baking, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures that the children get involved with. The royal family may also go on a getaway, with destinations like Mustique and Jordan being favourites.

They also spent some time at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where Queen Elizabeth went for her summer holiday when she was reigning. Wide open spaces are found within, where hunting, fishing, and horseback riding take place. These traditions could be adopted under King Charles’s rule.

Kate and William like their times together with this family, ensuring that their children have as normal a childhood as possible by virtue of their being royals. They like to spend their moments outdoors in the countryside and create a very settled environment for their loved ones—one Kate grew into and William knows well too.
