In 'Katamarayudu', Pawan Kalyan is playing, almost for the first time, the role of a people's hero. It's apparent from the title, if not from the punch line in the Teaser.

This has meant that the title song 'Mira Mira Meesam', which is by far the album's best song, is larger-than-life. As per cinematographer Prasad Murella, who has told a national daily about the way the song was visualized, hundreds of artistes were chipped in for picturization. Among them are those belonging to the Sikh community as well.

The idea is two-fold: to project Pawan Kalyan as a people's hero, and to reinforce his masculine character through the backdrop of sword-wielding swordsmen and muscle-flexing pehelwans.

The much-awaited movie is slated for a grand March 24 release.
