‘Katamarayudu’ rides high, thanks to family audience

From day one, the figures that 'Katamarayudu' has generated have defined its BO strength rather conclusively.  If in Overseas market, it crossed the one million dollar mark in the first weekend itself, its total share as of the end of the 5th day is pegged at Rs. 46 Cr.

And reports that have emerged since morning suggest that the festival crowd is queuing up big-time to watch the movie.  Ugadi is truly special for 'Katamarayudu'.

The distributors and all other stakeholders are pretty happy with the results.  As per some reports, even the Nizam area's stakeholders are going to break-even in a couple of days notwithstanding the high price for which the movie was sold.  

Pawan Kalyan's films have traditionally done very well during Summer.  By tomorrow, the SSC exams will be over.  Come the first week of April, Degree exams of different universities will also have been wrapped up.  Therefore, the crowds are only expected to further swell in the coming days.

In other words, the entertainer is set to ride high on the back of family audiences' footfalls.

The mass entertainer is also helped by the fact that no film is there, either currently or in the next few weeks, to match up to its popularity.  In short, 'Katamarayudu' is solo king.

The fact that the film was completed by the makers in 120 days under a controlled budget is only going into improving its profit margins.
