'Katamarayudu' Pre - Release Function (Set-1)Gallery

The pre-release event of 'Katamarayudu' was held today in Hyderabad. The high-profile event was graced by the film's cast and crew members. Trivikram Srinivas, TV9's CEO Ravi Prakash, Narendra Chowdhary of NTV, among others were the chief guests.

Anchored by Suma and Ali for major part, the event saw fans shouting in delirium whenever political references were made about Power Star. Almost every speaker was constant in saying that Ugadi is falling this year on March 24, which is when the massive release will be happening.

AM Ratnam said, "The day when a Pawan Kalyan movie releases is a festival day for all. You all know that he is going to enter politics. That's why, I wish three 3 or so movies he is going to do become huge blockbusters".

Distributor Kranthi Reddy said, "Ugadi is going to arrive five days earlier. I hope all the records will be shattered by this film".

Hari Prasad said, "Ugadi is coming early on this year. Pawan Kalyan garu is coming as a Telugu man who wears pancha kattu".

Ram-Laxman said, "The power of a farmer's talk, pancha kattu, walking style are all depicted through Power Star's character in this film. The fight where our hero bashes up in style is our favourite sequence. Cameraman Murella Prasad grows into a 7 ft tall technician once he starts working. When we were searching for a suitable location for shooting the climax. We couldn't find one. Kudos to art director Kadali Brahma for erecting a set in 4 days' time. Right from the producer to the light boy, everybody was fed the same food. Dolly is an amazing director. The relations between four brothers is shown in the movie. Mother sentiment is also there. 'Katamarayudu' is like Ugadi pacchadi wherein there are all the ingredients".

Ali said that 'Katamarayudu' is not a remake in the strict sense of the term. Although the basic story has been taken from a Tamil film, the script sees a lot of tweaking. "I have a 'katravalli'. The four brothers have 'katravallis'. By 'katravalli', I mean a beautiful girl in my language", he said.

Varikuppala Yadagiri addressed Pawan's fans as 'Abhimana rayullu'. He has penned 'Jivvu jivvu' song. "This song had no situation earlier. Writer Deepak infused it later. I wrote the song in the studio itself as soon as Anup gave the tune".

Ajay said, "My career started with 'Khushi'. I am very happy to be here today".

Kamal Kamaraj said, "People have encouraged us all on social media. I got very good name after 'Jalsa'. It was like being with family working for 'Katamarayudu'".

Shiva Balaji and Chaitanya Krishna expressed happiness. The latter has played Pawan's fourth brother in the movie. "I was the last one to be selected for a role. Millions of people wish to take a selfie with Pawan garu. But I got to work with such a person for 65 days", Chaitu said.

Bhaskarabhatla said that 'Katamarayudu' will win over the hearts of everyone just as he has won the heroine's in the movie.

Brahma Kadali, the art director, thanked the producer, director and Pawan for the opportunity of working for the movie.

Famous editor-journalist Ravi Prakash said, "I am one of those people who has started to like Pawan Kalyan of late. We all know the role he played in the last elections. Any other person would have tried to cash in on it by accepting a political position or pelf. But Pawan Kalyan has raised curtains for a new culture by refusing to do that. Everywhere we are seeing only those who do 'bhajana' of the powers-that-be. My greetings to Pawan Kalyan for questioning them. Whether it is Special Category Status or Demonetization, when everybody else in the media is silent, it was he who spoke up against it. Others are busy changing their stance after attaining power. Youngsters have to question this. Pawan Kalyan is rousing the youngsters to an extent to question this selfishness. I hope youngsters will follow in his path".

NTV's Narendra Chowdhary said, "My greetings to Andhra Katamarayudu".

Ramajogayya Sastry said, "Pawan Kalyan garu asked me what 'mira mira' in the song means. It was not meant to indicate mere sound. It's a privilege to be associated with some films. 'Katamarayudu' is one such film. The response from fans to the title song has been unprecedented. It was written keeping fans in mind. The final stamp on the song was given by Power Star. His appreciation gave me immense satisfaction".

Bandla Ganesh said, "All these years, I didn't like Ravi Prakash garu. I never met him because I never liked him. From today, I will like you, sir. I used to rush to Narendra Chowdhary garu (of NTV) when needed. I beg your pardon for not liking you all these days. You have the same qualities as our devudu". Ganesh had a change of heart after Ravi Prakash praised Pawan for speaking truth to power. He further said, "What should I say about Boss?" When the crowds were shouting 'CM CM', Ganesh said that God will decide what he will become some day. He later juxtaposed Power Star with the likes of Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bose and others. "My name is Bandla Ganesh, my God is Pawan Kalyan", he signed off.

The Theatrical release was released on the hands of Trivikram amid loud cheers.
