Actress Kasturi has been staying in the limelight for her bold and straight forward observation about public issues. Recently she has voiced her opinion about the beef protests organised in reaction to the new regulations imposed by Union Government banning the sale of cattle for slaughter in animal markets.
Kasturi in her twitter page she said 'Beef fest' "was a bad idea, designed to offend people and fuel reactions" and a "cheap stunt" which "cud've been ignored". She also likened the protest to the 'Kissing protests' organised in Kerala to oppose moral policing.
The 'Indian' star however said she is she opposes cattle slaughter ban but one's food habits should not be inconsiderate to others.
Kasturi is the first film celebrity to open up about the 'beef ban' which has been dominating the discussions in media and social media.
