Director Karu Palaniappan had been very critical about BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and besides BJP, he never spared other political parties as well. However, his recent campaigning for DMK's Kanimozhi in Thoothukdi has come across as a surprise for many.

Quoting this, actress Kasthuri had trolled him with her tweet that read "At the end, Karu Palaniappan belongs to DMK, I had thought he's a communist and will campaign only for Su.Venkatesan, but now he seems to be campaigning for everyone. He'll be hosting a show in their channel soon.

Just like any other tweet of Kasthuri, this tweet has also been met with mixed responses, with several people opposing her view and the rest supporting her. On the other end, Karu Palaniappan recently appeared on screen as a corrupt politician in Natpe Thunai directed by debutant Parthiban.
