Isaigniani Ilayaraja was conferred with the Padma Vibushan Award yesterday which was not only celebrated by the tinsel town but millions of his fans all over the globe. The New Indian Express however headlined the newstory as Dalit Outreach with Ilayaraja Padma, which has come under scathing criticism by many sections.
Actress Kasthuri known for her straightforward opinions has taken the headlines hard and has released a video in which she spits on the newspaper and tears it in anger. She has stated on twitter Ilayaraja is a national treasure. God's have no caste. Music knows no walls.
