The citizens of Chennai and Tamil Nadu along with the world are shell shocked by the gruesome gang rape of a 11 year old disabled child for seven months by 22 men in a gated community apartment in Ayanavaram. There has been widespread agitation with people taking to the streets demanding the death penalty for the accused and even the lawyers in the Mahila court lost their cool and gave the animals a thorough beating.
Actress Kasthuri has released a video in which she has expressed utmost grief for something like this to happen in Chennai after the Hasini incident a few months ago when her neighbour Dashvanth lured her into his apartment raped and killed her. Kasthuri in uncontrollable rage has requested the police to kill the accused in encounter style. She has also stated that she is ashamed of being a Tamilian after the gruesome incident.
