Karunakaran clarifies about death threat allegations by Director

The recently released 'Podhu Nalan Karuthi' movie starring Santhosh Pratap, Karunakaran and Anu Sitara released on February 1st has got decent reviews and is running in theaters. The director of the movie Zion made sensational allegations against Karunakaran stating that he made death threats to him and his producers joining hands with loan sharks. He also added that getting a remuneration of 25 Lakhs the comedian did not even attend audio release or promotional events of the film.
Karunakaran has issued a statement in which he has categorically denied all allegations making it clear that his father Kalidas served in the defense department of the Indian government and has brought him up in a disciplined manner. According to Karuna, the 'Podhu Nalan Karudhi' team had informed him about the audio launch at very short notice and since he had prior commitments he could not attend. The 'Uppu Karuvadu' star has asserted that he has no connection with any loan shark group and having come up in his career from short films fully understands the problems faced by producers. Having lent a helping hands during the Chennai floods and farmers crisis he has assured that he never resorts to violence and wishes that the film becomes a hit.
